Check In & Check Out times

Check in is from 4pm on your arrival day
Check out is at 11am on your departure day

We need this time to ensure that the house is ready for your arrival after the previous guests. On departure, you are requested to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition. This includes washing up, dishwasher emptied, recycling paper/card/glass/plastics, and rubbish is placed in bin liners and put in outside bins.

Please also ensure ovens and barbecues are clean and free from grease.

We reserve the right to make a charge of £100 for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition.

Please note, we expect guests to use the appropriate towel/wipes for the removal of make-up. We will charge for the replacement of our white towels @ £10 per towel if they are damaged in this way. This includes eye-liner, mascara, tanning products and the like.


Additional Information

The garden over the fence at the rear of the house outside the kitchen is private.
Some aspects of the garden are for utility purposes and are out of bounds to guests. These areas are clearly marked.
Under no circumstances should you climb over fences and enter fields. There may be livestock and they typically don’t take kindly to strangers.
Your hosts live in an apartment attached to the main house. We are here to assist if required but otherwise will not interfere with your stay.
There are 2 cats and 3 hens that live on the house grounds. All are friendly but none should be allowed in the house. Under ANY circumstances. EVER!


What Optional Extras are available?

  • An early check in from 2pm can be added to your booking for £50
  • A late checkout (to 1pm) can be added to your booking for £50 
  • A 6-burner gas BBQ is available to hire and is offered with gas and BBQ tools. This can be added to your booking for £50
  • Refill of coal scuttle and log basket is £25

A Welcome Hamper can be provided on arrival. The contents vary but typically there will be eggs, milk, bread, sweet things, marmalade and jam. Most items will either be home-made or home-produced. Enough for the number of guests booked to stay. This can be added to your booking for £50.


Are children welcome?

Yes. Children are always welcome
We have a cot and a high chair available
We expect all children under 16 to be supervised at all times 


Can we have extra guests?

No, not really. Up to 20 guests can be safely and comfortably accommodated at the property. There are no additional beds available.

Please note, the number of persons occupying the property must not, at any time, exceed the number booked. In addition, the total number of people staying and visiting the property must never exceed 20 unless by agreement with the owners. If the hirer arrives with additional group members they will not be allowed entry and no refund will be given. If the hirer is found to be accommodating additional persons during the let they will be requested to vacate the property immediately and no refund will be given and will have no further claim against the accommodation provider, owner or representatives.

Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons stated on the booking occupy the property.  We reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed. Any persons other than members of your party must not use the facilities at Dunfallandy House.


Is internet access included?

Yes, internet access is provided for guests' use.
Reasonable and lawful usage of this service is expected. Dunfallandy House is in a rural location and our broadband, whilst adequate for reading and writing emails, is not suitable for continuous streaming. 


Is power and heating included?

Electrical power and oil-fired heating is included in the rental charge.


Are pets allowed?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Dunfallandy House.
